the mission of what’s next? ensemble is to:

• further the education and awareness of contemporary classical music amongst the general public through public performances, lectures, conferences, musical recordings, literature, and educational outreach;
• aid in the professional and artistic development of living composers of classical music from the Los Angeles area and abroad through performances, collaborations, commissions, and direct support;
• aid in the education of young musicians by raising their knowledge and awareness of contemporary classical music and composers through providing performance opportunities, assistance in connecting them with living composers, and offering incentives, support and aid to young musicians who are working towards a career in contemporary classical music;
• and to aid in building a lasting community of composers, musicians, audience members and supporters of contemporary classical music throughout the Southern California region through the above objectives and through similarly related activities.
